Carlos Orellana Obituary

Carlos A. Orellana, a man of love and faith, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025, at the age of 84 at Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel, New Jersey. Born on September 17, 1941, in the scenic town of Huigra, Ecuador. Carlos was the cherished son of the late Cesar and Julieta (Yepez) Orellana. His journey brought him from the vibrant landscapes of Ecuador to the bustling life of New York City in 1968. Carlos moved to Miami in 1979 before returning to New York City, in 1980. Along with his loving wife, Sonia they moved to Keyport, New Jersey in 2005, where they remained.

Carlos's life was a testament to the power of love and commitment. He is survived by his devoted wife, Sonia (Estrada) Orellana, with whom he shared a beautiful and enduring partnership. Together, they raised a family that became Carlos's pride and joy. His legacy continues through his children: Carlos A. Orellana Jr. of Bronx, New York; Mario J. Orellana and his wife Shawna of Brooklyn, New York; Lisa Cedeno and her husband Edward of Old Bridge, New Jersey; and Paul Orellana and his wife Andrea of Ft. Mill, South Carolina. Carlos was a doting grandfather to Danielle, Nicholas, Brandon, and Olivia, and a loving great-grandfather to young Joel. Each of them carries a piece of his spirit and teachings.

Professionally, Carlos dedicated many years of service as a Lunch Aide  for the Old Bridge Public School, where he was known for his unwavering work ethic and the warmth he brought to every interaction.

A man of deep Christian faith, Carlos was an active member of the Middletown Assembly of God Church in Middletown, New Jersey. His faith was the cornerstone of his existence, guiding him through life's challenges and joys. Carlos's relationship with God was evident in his daily actions, and he was a source of spiritual inspiration to those around him.

As we bid farewell to Carlos A. Orellana, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a soul that touched so many. His memory will be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of those who loved him. Carlos's journey on earth may have concluded, but his spirit remains a guiding light for all who had the privilege of knowing him.
