Carl E. Casta Sr.

Carl E. Casta Sr., 71, of Middletown, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at home on Saturday, July 23, 2022.  Carl was born on June 22, 1951 in Manhattan, New York, where he grew up.  After marriage, Carl and his beloved wife, Arline, began their family in the Castle Hill section of the Bronx.  In 1986, they settled in Middletown, New Jersey, where they remained to raise their family.  Before his retirement, Carl worked as a Conductor for Amtrak for 33 years.  He was also a retired New York City EMT for many years.

In Carl's spare time, he like playing basketball, as well as watching many of his favorite teams.  He loved his Harley Davidson and cars, and considered himself a master mechanic.  He also enjoyed lawn care and took great pride in his meticulous lawn and landscape.  Carl was a member of the Middletown Jehovah's Witness Congregation, where he held the title of Ministerial Servant.  He was loved and adored by all of his neighbors, friends, and family.  Above all else, Carl was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend to many.  He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Carl was predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Theresa (Vega) Casta.  He is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 50 years, Arline (Bousquet) Casta, his loving children, Carl E. Casta Jr. and his wife, Lauren, of Jacksonville, Florida, and Amanda Baran and her husband, Robert J. Baran III, of Florence, New Jersey, his dear sister, Patricia Taluy and her husband, Raymond, of Atlantic Highlands, and his cherished grandchildren, Ethan William Kelly, Arianna Nicole Casta, Aiden Carl Casta, and Lucas Paul Garza.
