Bertha (Lasher) Zosel

Bertha Zosel, 82, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Bayshore Community Hospital.  She was born Bertha Lasher on January 13, 1939 in Bridgewater, New Jersey.  Bertha grew up in New Jersey and relocated to Florida, where she remained to raise her family.  Approximately 12 years ago, Bertha returned to New Jersey, settling in Middletown.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Mildred Lasher, her step father William Durks, her beloved husband, Clarence Zosel, her daughter, Alberta Grant, her daughter in law Donna Schwoerer, and her cherished grandson, Thomas.  Bertha is survived by her loving children, Lester Landon and his wife, Sharon, of North Brunswick, New Jersey, Emma Hicks and her husband, Lorenzo, of Kentucky, Millie LeFurge and her husband, Jimmy, of Middletown, New Jersey, William Zosel of Florida, George Schwoerer of Florida, Michael Schwoerer of Keyport,New Jersey, Matthew Zosel and his wife, Cindy, of Florida, and John Schwoerer of Florida, along with approximately 16 cherished grandchildren, 23 adored great grandchildren, and many special nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
