Barbara A. De Pinto, 72, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey. She was born Barbara A. Richter on February 29, 1948 in Staten Island, New York, where she grew up. Barbara went on to work at Morgan Guarantee Trust Co., as well as Johnson & Higgins in Manhattan, New York. While at Johnson & Higgins, Barbara went on to meet the love of her life, Guy. She always expressed how her life did not begin until she met him. On September 19, 1970, Barbara and her husband, Guy, were married and began their life together and eventually settled in New Jersey to raise their family. Before retirement, Barbara worked as a Medical Secretary for Holmdel Cardiology and Internal Medicine for many years. In her spare time, Barbara loved cruising and enjoyed playing the poker slots in Atlantic City and Las Vegas. Most of all, Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother “Mimi”, and friend. She lived for her children and grandchildren and would do anything for them.
She was predeceased by her parents, Martin and Agnes (Iannone) Richter and her brother-in-law, Ted Stans. Barbara is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 49 years, Guy De Pinto, her loving children, Michael De Pinto and his wife, Josephine, of Tinton Falls, and Danielle Fitzpatrick and her husband, Kevin, of Middletown, her adoring mother-in-law, Angela De Pinto, her dear sister, Diane Stans of Las Vegas, and her cherished grandchildren, Mia, Lily, and Alexandra. Barbara will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, July 6, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home at 12:30 pm. Entombment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum, 900 Holmdel Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733.
