Barbara A. Ennis, fondly known as “Bobby”, 74, of Old Bridge, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. She was born Barbara A. Caiafa on May 31, 1950, in Brooklyn, New York, where she grew up before moving to Matawan, New Jersey in 1972. Barbara and her husband, Michael, were married in July of 1976, and started their family shortly after their marriage. Before her retirement, Bobby worked as a Registered Nurse for Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel for many years. In her spare time, Bobby enjoyed spending time at the beach, reading, cooking, and watching her favorite TV shows. Most of all, Bobby was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend to many. She will be greatly missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
She was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Maria (Esposito) Caiafa, her treasured twin sister, Patricia Schlosser, and her sister-in-law, Maria Caiafa. Barbara is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 49 years, Michael Ennis, her loving children, Michael Ennis and his partner, Tina Elliott, of Austin, Texas, Marc Ennis of Old Bridge, and Rebecca Ennis of Old Bridge, her dear siblings, Michael Caiafa and his wife, Maria, and Richard Caiafa, her brother-in-law Darryl Schlosser, and her cherished grandchildren, Charlotte Leone and Benjamin Elliott, along with many extended family members and friends.
In respect of Barbara’s wishes, she will be privately cremated. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Monday, March 17, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Tuesday morning, March 18, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home on Tuesday morning, March 18, 2025, at 10:30 AM.
