Antoinette Curcio, 92, fondly known as “Ann”, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2024, at Bayshore Hospital in Holmdel. Ann was born October 18, 1931, in the Bronx, NY where she lived with her parents and two younger brothers. While her parents were at work, Ann would play house and school with her brothers before helping her mother sew and cook when she came home. She married her husband in September 1952, and they started their family in Brooklyn, NY where she then lived for 43 years. Ann resided in Hazlet, NJ until her passing.
She was a loving mother, sister and daughter; but was also a devoted grandmother to her six grandkids. She enjoyed watching the Yankees with her grandsons, and her granddaughters always had her playing with makeup, doing nails, or blowing bubbles. Ann was the first person to teach her grandkids how to play cards. She was also blessed with 4 great-grand dogs!
Ann loved the Game Show Network, her word searches, Entenmann's cake, dark chocolate candies, and her nightly card games with her friends; especially Pokeno. She would listen to Rod Stewart, Frank Sinatra, and sing Christmas carols all year-round.
She was loved by everyone that knew her and will be deeply missed. To Ann, her family was the most important thing in the world.
She was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Louise (Calandra) Campagnola, and her dear brothers, Sergio and Joseph Campagnola. Ann is survived by her loving children, Deborah Curcio of Hazlet, John R. Curcio and his wife, Teresa, of Monroe Twp., and Lorine Tantillo and her husband, Michael V. of Hazlet, her cherished grandchildren, Michael Mandato, Daniel Curcio, John Curcio, Gabrielle Tantillo, Stephanie Tantillo, and Amanda Tantillo, and many treasured nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In respect of Ann’s wishes, she will be privately cremated. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday morning, August 3, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Mother of Jesus Church, 2326 84th Street, Brooklyn, New York. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Monday evening, August 5, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.
