Anthony C Testa

Anthony C. Testa, “Buddy”, 88, of Staten Island, New York, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, at his daughter’s home in Old Bridge, New Jersey on Monday, September 25, 2023. Buddy was born on November 12, 1934, in Brooklyn, New York, where he grew up and met his beloved wife, Marie (Marino) Testa. On June 25, 1955, Anthony and Marie were married and began their lives together in Brooklyn, where they remained to raise their family.  In 1987, they settled in Staten Island, New York. Buddy retired after many years from Prudentail Life Insurance Company, where he was a dedicated salesman.  Anthony was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother.

He is predeceased by his parents, Ciro and Assunta (Pellicchio) Testa, his beloved wife of 65 years, Marie (Marino) Testa (September 27, 2020), his siblings, Anna Cirillo and her husband Victor, Ralph Testa and his wife Margaret, Philomena McBride and her husband Mac, Nicholas Testa and his wife June and Mary Mallamo and her husband John. He is survived by his loving daughters, Janice Angarano and her husband, Andrew of Old Bridge, New Jersey, Karen Ciccone and her husband Thomas of Congers, New York and Susan Sammarco of Old Bridge, New Jersey.  He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Nicholas Angarano, Anthony Angarano and his wife Karoline, Thomas Ciccone, Alyssa DeVizio and her husband Michael, Cynthia Ciccone, Robert Sammarco and his wife Jacqueline, Matthew Sammarco and his wife Tiana and Jonathan Sammarco and his girlfriend Kate Gaynor and his adored great grandchildren, Adrianna, Annamarie, Lucas, Alexander, and Michael. Anthony will be greatly missed, never forgotten, and always loved.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, October 1, 2023, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM and on Monday, October 2, 2023, from 9:15 to 10:00 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, October 2, 2023, at 11:30 AM at St. Ephrem Roman Catholic Church, 929 Bay Ridge Parkway, Brooklyn, New York 11228. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, New York 11735.
