Anthony L. Scognamillo

Anthony L. Scognamillo, 72, of Holmdel, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey.  Anthony was born on April 24, 1951 in Brooklyn, New York, and in 1955, moved to Howard Beach, New York, with his family where he grew up.  On April 20, 1974, Anthony and his beloved wife, Diana, were married and began their life and family together in Howard Beach.  In 1986, they settled in Holmdel, New Jersey.  Before his retirement, Anthony worked as the Warehouse Supervisor for Medtronic Corporation in Eatontown, New Jersey.  Above all else, Anthony was a loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend to many.  He will be greatly missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

He was predeceased by his parents, Alfonso and Phyllis (Palmieri) Scognamillo, his son, Jonathon Scognamillo, and his dear brother, John Scognamillo and his wife, Linda.  Anthony is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 49 years, Diana (Postiglione) Scognamillo, his loving son, Christopher Scognamillo of Holmdel, and many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 727 Highway 36, Union Beach, New Jersey 07735.  In respect of Anthony's wishes, he will be privately cremated.  In lieu flowers, donations in loving memory of Anthony to the American Heart Association would be greatly appreciated.  To donate, please visit, www.heart.org.
