Anthony Orlando, fondly known as “Tony”, 93, of Aberdeen, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, May 15, 2025. Anthony was born on November 25, 1931, in Madison Township, New Jersey, and grew up in the Genoa section of Cliffwood. On April 21, 1962, Tony and his beloved wife, Jacqueline, were married and began their life together in Elizabeth, where they remained to raise their family. In 1993, they settled in Aberdeen, New Jersey. Before his retirement, Tony worked as a building contractor for many years, which was a career he truly loved. He and his brothers were the owners of Orlando Brothers in Cliffwood. In his spare time, Anthony enjoyed ballroom dancing, and loved gardening. Most of all, he was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend to many. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
He was predeceased by his parents, Antonio and Rose (Rosato) Orlando and his 2 brothers, Alex and Louis Orlando and six sisters, Louise (Belloni), Elizabeth (Gallo), Veronica (Gallo), Ameilia (Palladino), Mary (Brown), and Yolanda (Stone). Anthony is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 63 years, Jacqueline (Martino) Orlando, his loving children, Louis Orlando of Freehold, Edward Orlando of Casselberry, Florida, and Michelle Heller and her husband Gary, of Hazlet, and his cherished grandchildren, Alyssa Orlando, Daniel Orlando, and Gretchen Heller.
In respect of Tony’s wishes, he will be privately cremated. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A prayer service and military honors will be offered for Anthony during the visitation hours. Later, his cremains will be laid to rest at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, New Jersey.
