Anthony Maniscalco Obituary

Anthony Maniscalco, 92, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at Bayshore Rehabilitation Center, Holmdel, New Jersey. He was born on September 7, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York, where he grew up. He moved to Brick, New Jersey in 1992 and in 2010 he moved to Arbor Terrace, Middletown New Jersey where he remained. Anthony was a retired maintenance man for Luna Park, Coney Island, New York.  Anthony was also an avid New York Yankee and New York Giants fan. 

Anthony was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Josephine (Sabella) Maniscalco, and his siblings, Vincent Maniscalco and his wife, Josephine, Katherine Esposito, and her husband Raymond, Mary Galizia, and her husband Alphonse, and Raymond Maniscalco and his niece and nephew, Camille Pumo and Salvatore Pumo. Anthony is survived by his dear and caring sister, Rose Pumo of Brooklyn, New York, and his cherished nieces and nephews, Frank Esposito and his wife, Wanda of Freehold, New Jersey, Lucille Longo, of Long Island, New York, May C. Jurecki of Hazlet, New Jersey, Louis Maniscalco and his wife, Janine of Long Island, New York, Frank Maniscalco and his wife, Phyllis of Brooklyn, New York, Josephine Friebely and her husband, Dan of Brick, New Jersey, and Raymond Maniscalco and his wife, Victoria of Brooklyn, New York.  Anthony is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Anthony will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, September 18, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday morning, September 19, 2020 at 9:30 AM at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 727 Highway 36, Union Beach, New Jersey 07735.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 3620 Tilden Avenue, Brooklyn, New York 11203. For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.

As per the regulations imposed through the State of New Jersey, there will now be a maximum of 100 persons allowed in the funeral home at one time.  In order to accommodate all of Anthony’s family and friends, we ask that you please be brief while visiting in order to make room for additional guests to pay their respects; we thank you for your understanding during this time. Face protection is also required as per state regulations.
