Anthony Cardaci Obituary

Anthony M. Cardaci, 90, of Middletown, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, April 25, 2019. Anthony was born on September 19, 1928 in Lodi, New Jersey, and grew up in Passaic. After marriage, he settled in Lodi where he raised his family. In 2001, he moved to Villas at Jumping Brook in Neptune, New Jersey. He was a member of the Lodi Fire Department Truck Company #1 for 50 years and was also the past Chief having served in 1976. Anthony worked as a Pipe-fitter for many years for Hoffman-LaRoche Pharmaceuticals in Nutley, New Jersey before retirement. He also worked as a part-time security guard for Giants Stadium/The Meadowlands for many years.  Anthony’s favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing, gardening, crabbing and reading.  

He was predeceased by his parents, Phillip and Mary (Martorano) Cardaci, his beloved wife, Leah (Paladino) Cardaci, his siblings, Rocco, Carmine, Katherine, Frances, Susan, Josephine, Paul, John and Loretta, and his adored grandchild, Kenny Cardaci. Anthony is survived by his loving children, Carol A. Cuccia and her husband, Charles of Middletown, New Jersey, Patricia G. Kirk of Maywood, New Jersey, and Mark A. Cardaci and his wife, Frances of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, his siblings, Anabell, Sylvia, Gabriella and Orlando, his cherished grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, Corinne, Jeffrey, Christian and Valerie, and his treasured great-grandchildren, Kyle, Tyler, Roman and Mila. Anthony is also survived by many dear nieces and nephews. Anthony will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  In respect of Anthony’s wishes he will be privately cremated. Anthony’s cremains will be entombed at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown/Red Bank, New Jersey at a later date.
