Anne M. Harnach, 103, of Long Branch, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, January 26, 2021. Anne was born on January 19, 1918 on Amsterdam Avenue in New York, where she grew up and met her beloved husband, John. John and Anne began their lives together in Washington Heights, New York and in 1953, settled in Paramus, New Jersey. In 2007 after her husband's passing, Anne retired to Shadow Lake Village in Middletown. In 2015, she began residing with her daughter, Patricia, in Long Brach.
While living in Paramus, Anne was the past president of the Federated Women's Club and was also a member of the Veteran's Club with her husband, John. Throughout her life, Anne loved to sew. She won first place in a sewing competition with Vogue Magazine and second place with the State of New Jersey. Above all else, Anne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
Anne was predeceased by her beloved and devoted husband, John Anthony Harnach, and her grandson, Michael Quaglia Jr. She is survived by her loving daughter, Patricia Quaglia and her husband, Michael, of Long Branch, her cherished grandchildren, Kevin John Roth, Christine Roth, Kimberly Hall and her husband, Todd, and Denean Burke and her husband, Michael, her adored great grandchildren, Kierstin Burke, John Burke, Dominique Quaglia, and Michael Quaglia III, and her treasured great-great grandchildren, Reilly Grace West and Michael Francis Quaglia.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, February 7, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A prayer service will be offered during visitation hours. Entombment will follow at Garden of Memories Mausoleum, 300 Soldier Hill Road, Washington Township, New Jersey 07676.
