Ann Carroll, 83, of Brick, New Jersey, formerly of Hazlet, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, March 18, 2025, at Complete Care at Shorrock Gardens in Brick. She was born Ann Maushardt on September 1, 1941, in Bronx, New York, where she grew up. In 1970, she moved to Hazlet, New Jersey, where she remained to raise her family and recently settled in Brick to be closer to her loving son, John. Throughout her life, Ann held various job titles with many different companies. She retired from A & P Supermarket as a deli clerk, as well as Revlon, both in Edison, New Jersey. Prior to her time at Revlon and A & P, she waitressed, worked for Lily Tulip in Holmdel, and was most proud of her time served with the FBI in New York. Most of all, Ann was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
She was predeceased by her parents, William and Kathleen (Barry) Maushardt, and her dear siblings. Ann is survived by her loving children, Edmund Carroll, formerly of Hazlet, Diane Carroll of Rhode Island, formerly of Hazlet, and John Carroll Sr. and his wife, Colleen, of Brick, formerly of Hazlet, along with her dear brother, William Maushardt and his wife, Linda, of Manchester, and many cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home at approximately 2:00 PM. In respect of Ann’s wishes, she will be privately cremated.
