Angela (Rivera) Vega

Angela Vega, 89, of Hazlet, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Arnold Walter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Hazlet, New Jersey.  Angela was born on March 8, 1934, in Yauco, Puerto Rico. Angela met the love of her life, Walter Vega Sr in New York. They were married and started their life together in New York, before settling in Middletown, New Jersey in 1971.  They remained in Middletown to raise their loving family.  Angela enjoyed many years of caring for her family.  She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Angela will be greatly missed, never forgotten, and always loved. 

She was predeceased by her parents, Francisco, and Ramona (Baez) Rivera, her loving husband, Walter Vega Sr. and her beloved son, Kenneth Vega . She is survived by her devoted children, Walter Vega Jr. and his wife, Rita, of Keansburg, and Lisa Marie Faccas of Hazlet, her cherished grandchildren, Andrew Vega, Christina Vega, Victoria Vega, Daniel Vega, Brian Vega, Katherine Mercilliott and her husband, Michael, Elizabeth Alexander, and Michael Faccas Jr., and her treasured great grandchildren, Dean Vega, Devan Vega and Juliette Mercilliott.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, February 12, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, from 8:30 to 9:15 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey   07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at The Catholic Church of Saint Ann, 311 Carr Avenue, Keansburg, New Jersey   07734. Angela will be entombed at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Beverly Hills, Florida, 11:30 AM, Friday, February 16, 2024.
