Andrew Zack, 81, of Colts Neck, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey. Andrew was born on January 1, 1939 in Wilkes-barre, Pennsylvania and grew up in Hillside, New Jersey. After marriage, Andrew and his wife, Dolores, raised their family in Linden, New Jersey. Later in life, Andrew relocated to Hawley, Pennsylvania and about four years ago, settled in Colts Neck with his son, Paul. Before retirement, Andrew worked as a truck driver for the Teamsters Local Union #810 with Norbet Trucking for many years. He was also a proud United States Navy Veteran, where he served on USS Forrestal CV 59. Most of all, Andrew was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend to many.
He was predeceased by his father, Andrew Adam Zack, his mother, Edna (Ciesienski) Catalina and her husband, Joseph, his beloved wife, Dolores (Costa) Zack, his dear son, Richard Zack, his brother, Dennis Zack, his brother-in-law, Albert Costa and his father-in-law, Julius daCosta. Andrew is survived by his loving children, Robert Zack and his wife, Alexis, of Linden, and Paul Zack and his wife, Kathleen, of Colts Neck, his cherished grandchildren, Gia, Gillian, Paul, Richard and Robert Zack, and his sister-in-law, Linda Zack, his brothers-in-law, Mark Costa and his wife, Debbie, and Victor DaCosta and his wife, Deitra, along with many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Andrew will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
Arrangements were entrusted to Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. In respect of Andrew's wishes, he will be privately cremated. Due to the current COVID-19 health crisis, Andrew's family will be hosting a celebration of his life at a later date, location, and time to be announced.
