Amelia Williams, 60, of Matawan, New Jersey, passed away suddenly on Monday, May 24, 2021 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel. Amelia was born on February 15, 1961 in Newark, New Jersey, where she was raised. In 1983 as a young adult, Amelia settled in Matawan, New Jersey. Amelia worked for Anchor Care Nursing and Rehabilitation in Hazlet as their Recreation Leader for many years. Amelia was a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
She was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Ruth (Towns) Williams. Amelia is survived by her loving son, William N. Williams, her cherished siblings, Anthony Williams and his wife, Genie, of East Orange, Cynthia Williams of Cliffwood, Wayde Williams and his wife, Dot, of East Orange, Wanda Williams of Cliffwood, Angela Williams of Eatontown, Mark Williams and his wife, Elizabeth, of Freehold, and Barbara Williams of Aberdeen, along with many treasured nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A service will be offered during visitation hours. Interment will follow at Shoreland Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Hazlet.
