Alida Voorhees, 88, of Holmdel, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 25, 2022, at Bayshore Hospital. Alida was born on March 15, 1934, in Highlands, New Jersey. She also lived in New Monmouth. In1954 Alida moved to Marlboro, New Jersey and in 2018 settled in Holmdel. She was the proud proprietor of an antique and jewelry store called Grandma’s Treasurers in Marlboro, New Jersey for many years. Alida will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
Alida was predeceased by her husband, John S. Hendrickson, her beloved parents, Frederick and Ruth (Patterson) Voorhees and her brother, Frederick Voorhees. She is survived by her loving daughters, Susan Hendrickson of Kissimmee, Florida, and Elizabeth Astin and her fiancé, Anthony Briano, of Keyport, New Jersey, and her adored grandchildren, Sean A., Alexis Pratts and Daniel Pratts. Alida will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, August 1, 2022 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 10:00 to 10:45 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey, 07730. Entombment will follow at Marlboro Memorial Park, 361 Hwy 79, Morganville, NJ 07751.
