Alfonso Campitiello 81, of Boyton Beach Florida passed away on December 10, 2020. He was born in Pagani, Salerno Italy on December 14, 1938. He was a retired proprietor of Alfonso Bakery in Staten Island, New York. Alfonso was predeceased by his parents, Vincenzo and Marianna (Orlando) Campitiello, his father-in-law, Anthony Mallozzi, and sister-in-law, Filomena Campitiello. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Diane Mallozzi Campitiello, his loving sons, Vincent Campitiello and his wife, Cathy, of Bernardsville, New Jersey, Anthony Campitiello and his wife, Jill, of Manalapan, New Jersey, Peter Campitiello and his wife, Suzanne, of Lincroft, New Jersey, his dear brother, Gerardo Campitiello, and his mother-in-law, Antoinette Mallozzi. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Allison, Justin, Christopher Fersini, Dianna, Angela, Christina, Gabrielle, Brian Fersini, Matthew, Tommy Fersini, Kate Fersini, Nicholas, Nina, Anthony Jr., and Giovanna, his adored great grandson Antonio, and many treasured nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM and Thursday morning 8:30 to 9:15 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday morning, December 17, 2020 at 10:30 AM at St. Catharine Roman Catholic Church, 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733. Entombment will follow at Moravian Cemetery, Hillview Mausoleum, Staten Island, New York.
