Alberta A (Steinberg) Moore

Alberta A. Moore, 93, of Keyport, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Bayshore Medical Center, Holmdel.  She was born Alberta Steinberg on November 29, 1929, in Manhattan, New York.  Alberta grew up in Manhattan and lived there until she met the love of her life, Patrick Moore.

They married in October 1953. Together they moved to Astoria, Queens for a few years and eventually settled in Keyport, where they raised their daughters. Alberta was a graduate of Saint Patrick’s Cathedral High School in Manhattan.  

Alberta loved to spend time with her family, especially her three great grandchildren. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She will be greatly missed and never forgotten. 

Alberta was predeceased by her beloved parents, Albert and Lena (Doran) Steinberg, three sisters; Gladys Sauickie, Helen Schanck and Janet Steinberg and one brother, Frank Steinberg, as well as her devoted husband of 60 years, Patrick Moore, a cherished daughter, Kathleen Moore and an adored granddaughter, Shannon Finn.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Colleen Meyer and her husband John of Hazlet, her cherished granddaughter, Lindsay Thein and her husband Joe of Middletown, her treasured grandson, Shane Meyer and his wife Gina of Colts Neck and her adored great grandchildren, Kylie Margaret Thein, Parker Elizabeth Thein and Jordan John Meyer.

Arrangements were entrusted to Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07735. In respect of Alberta’s wishes, she will be privately cremated. Alberta’s cremated remains will be laid to rest with her husband, Patrick, at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Middletown at a later date to be announced.
