Vittoria L. (Draicchio) Ventura

Vittoria L. Ventura, 90, of Middletown Township, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born Vittoria L. Draicchio on November 7, 1927 in Peschici, Italy. She lived in Italy until 1952, when she moved to Montreal, Canada.  In 1962, she settled in  Jersey City, New Jersey where she began to raise her family.  She also lived in Bayonne and Cliffside Park, New Jersey and settled in Middletown in Shadow Lake Village.

She was predeceased by her parents Elia and Michelina (Potena) Draicchio, her beloved husband, Vito Ventura, her brother, Raffaele Draicchio, and her daughter-in-law, Margaret Ventura.  Vittoria is survived by her beloved children, Lorenzo Ventura and his wife, Carmela, of Howell, New Jersey,  Elia Ventura, of Hazlet, New Jersey, Franco Ventura and his wife, Diane, of New Port Richey, Florida, and her dear siblings, Genesio Draicchio, Vittoria Forte, Daniele Draicchio and his wife, Maria.  She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Neil Ventura, Michael Ventura, Christopher Ventura, Eric Ventura, Brian Ventura, Lisa Ventura, Victoria Lizaire, Janet Siciliano, Christina Coben, Maria Winter, and Joseph Ventura, and 17 adored great grandchildren, with another on the way, along with many special nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.  She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. 

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Saturday December 2, 2017 from 8:15 to 9:00 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Service,  3269 State Route/Highway 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday December 2, 2017 at 9:45 AM at St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum, 340 Ridge Avenue, N.
