Virginia A. Milan

Virginia A. Milan, 78, of Brick, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick.  She was born Virginia Nagengast on April 30, 1939 in Bayonne, New Jersey, where she was born and raised.  After marriage, Virginia and her husband, Chester, remained in Bayonne to raise their family.  In 2003, they settled in Brick, New Jersey.  Before retirement, Virginia was a dedicated teacher for the Linden Board of Education for many years.

She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Anne (Mitchell) Nagengast, and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Adam Milan, Mary Lewis, Joseph Milane and his wife, Anna, Henry Millan and his wife, Lillian, Frances Milan, Louis Milan, and Michael Kobryn.  Virginia is survived by her beloved and devoted husband, Chester Milan, her loving children, Lisa Milan and her husband, Philip Benson, of Bayonne, New Jersey, Paul Milan and his wife, Christine, of Plainfield, New Jersey, and Susan Milan and her husband, Robert Sheridan, of Hazlet, New Jersey.  She is also survived by her dear brothers, John Nagengast and his wife, Diane, and Mark Nagengast, and his wife, Mary Catherine, her adored sister-in-law, Helen Kobryn, and her cherished grandchildren, Elizabeth Sheridan, Robert Sheridan Jr., and Christian Milan Benson, along with her beloved dog, Daisy Joy (who is already missing her so much), and many treasured nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.  Virginia will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, November 19, 2017 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home during visitation hours at approximately 5:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of Virginia to Garden State Episcopal CDC, www.gsecdc.org, to create a special fund to provide emergency shelter assistance for homeless people with pets, or,  the Arthritis Foundation NJ Chapter https://tinyurl.com/donate-arthritis, would be greatly appreciated.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
