Theresa "Terry" (Mercurio) Gandolfo

     Theresa Gandolfo, fondly known as "Terry", 68, of Parlin, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey.  She was born Theresa Mercurio on March 2, 1949 in Brooklyn, New York, where she grew up, and met the love of her life, Salvatore Gandolfo.  On July 16, 1967, Theresa and Salvatore were married and began their life together in Brooklyn.  In January of 1977, they relocated to Staten Island, New York with their family, and a few years later in December of 1985, moved to Holmdel, New Jersey.  They also lived in Laurence Harbor, New Jersey, before recently settling in Parlin.  

     She was predeceased by her parents, Celeste (Cuoco) and Vito "William" Mercurio.  Terry is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 49 years, Salvatore Gandolfo, her loving daughter, AnnMarie Popper and her husband, Robert, of Monroe, New Jersey, her dear brother, Nicholas Mercurio and his wife, Jeanette, of Jackson, New Jersey, and her cherished grandchildren, Sarah and Sal Popper.  Terry will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

     In respect of Terry's wishes, she will be privately cremated.  Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Wednesday evening, May 3, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home Wednesday evening, May 3, 2017 at approximately 6:30 PM.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
