Stuart Michael Lane

Stuart Michael Lane, 75, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away into eternal life on December 26, 2019 after a long illness at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey.  Stuart was born on August 10, 1944 in Long Branch, New Jersey and grew up in Atlantic Highlands.  He attended Henry Hudson Regional High School, where he had a stellar basketball career and graduated from Croydon Hall Academy.  In 1965, Stuart enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Korea for two years during the Vietnam Era.  He was a member of the drum and bugle core and was also awarded the National Defense Service Metal.  After his time in the United States Army, Stuart was a self employed contractor for many years.  In 2014, he settled in Hazlet, New Jersey.

He was predeceased by his beloved  parents, Sterling and Marjorie (Robinson) Lane and his dear siblings, Marcelle Seruby and her husband, Melvin, Rodney Lane, Gerard Lane, Arnold Lane, and Clarke Lane, along with his brother in law, John Hammond.  Stuart is survived by his loving siblings, Glenn Lane of Atlantic Highlands, Stephanie Lane of Hazlet, and Leslie Lane of Middletown, his cherished sisters-in-law, Alma Lane, Judith Lane, and Susan Lane, and many special nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.  Stuart will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, January 2, 2020 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM and Friday morning, January 3, 2020 from 11:00 to 11:45 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  Interment will follow at 1:30 PM at Brigadier General William C.
