Salvatore M Tanzi

Salvatore M. Tanzi, 67, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey. Salvatore was born on March 3, 1951 in Toritto, Italy. In 1955 he lived in Brooklyn, New York and then Queens, New York, before settling in Hazlet in 1986 with his family. He was a banker in Manhattan, New York for many years. He was also a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Benedict RC Church in Holmdel, New Jersey.

He was predeceased by his father, Angelo I. Tanzi. Salvatore is survived by his loving mother, Giovanna Tanzi of Staten Island, New York, his beloved wife, Donata (Gismundi) Tanzi of Hazlet, New Jersey, his caring children, Giovanna Tanzi of Manalapan, New Jersey and Angelo Tanzi of Jersey City, New Jersey. He also leaves behind his dear siblings, Lina Mengani and her husband, Robert of Staten Island, New York, Maria Bozzett and her husband, Robert of Forked River, New Jersey, Michelina Tanzi of Staten Island, New York and Angelo Tanzi of Staten Island, along with his cherished grandchildren, Joseph Lijoi and Antonio Lijoi. Salvatore will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, July 23, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Tuesday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Benedict RC Church,165 Bethany Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733.
