Russell A. Buccheri, 84, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, December 7, 2018 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, New Jersey. Russell was born on March 28, 1934 in Brooklyn, New York, where he grew up and in 1966, he settled in Hazlet, New Jersey. On July 14, 1979, Russell and his wife, Louise, were married and began their lives together in Hazlet. Before retirement, Russell worked for Sanwa Bank in New York in their Communications Department for many years. He was also a proud United States Navy Veteran, having served during the Korean War.
He was predeceased by his parents, Lawrence and Elizabeth (LaMonte) Buccheri. Russell is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 39 years, Louise (Trance) Buccheri and his loving children, Larry Buccheri and his wife, Diane, of Little Silver, New Jersey, Lee Hajduk and her husband, Chris, of Cape May, New Jersey, Tommy Buccheri of Hazlet, New Jersey, and Roseanne Buccheri and her husband, James Longhitano of Florida. He is also survived by his dear sister, Joyce Cohen, his cherished grandchildren, Thomas, Michael, Kristen, Nicole, Matthew, John, Dayno, and Gianna, and his adored great grandchildren, Tyler and Carter. Russell will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, December 9, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. Military honors will be presented at the funeral home at approximately 4:30 PM and a prayer service will be offered at 7:00 PM. In respect of Russell's wishes, he will be privately cremated and his remains will be laid to rest at Brigadier General William C.
