Rosemary E. DeMichele, 88, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on February 9, 2018. She was born Rosemary Hagerty on May 18, 1929 in Brooklyn, New York, where she grew up. In 1959, Rosemary and her husband, Anthony, settled in Hazlet, New Jersey, to raise their family. Rosemary had previously worked for Prudential Insurance Company as a bookkeeper; she was currently retired. She was predeceased by her parents, Grace (Shea) and Charles Hagerty, her sister, Agnes Falkner and her husband, Jack, her brother-in-law, Chuchie Hess, her grandson, Scott Stevens, and her beloved husband, Anthony F. DeMichele, who was the past chief of North Centerville Fire Company. Rosemary is survived by her loving children, Tony DeMichele and his wife, Mary, of Lanoka Harbor, New Jersey, Kathleen DeMichele and her wife, Linda Berlen, of Clifton, New Jersey, Beth DeMichele of Hazlet, New Jersey, and Thomas DeMichele and his wife, Phyllis, of Bridgewater, New Jersey. She is also survived by her dear sister, Grace Hess, her adoring brother, Charles "Chuck" Hagerty and his wife, Kathy, her cherished grandchildren, Dawn Stevens, Danny DeMichele and his wife, Megan, Devin DeMichele, Megan DeMichele, Patrick DeMichele, and her treasured great grandsons, Scott Stevens Jr., Nathan DeMichele, and Liam DeMichele, along with many special nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Rosemary will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, February 12, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Tuesday morning, February 13, 2018 from 9:15 to 10:00 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/ Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday morning, February 13, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Jesus the Lord Roman Catholic Church, 123 Broad Street, Keyport, New Jersey 07735. Entombment will follow at Green Grove Mausoleum in Keyport, New Jersey.
