Rose L. Mueller

Rose L. Mueller, 88, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2018 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel New Jersey.  She was born Rose Whelan on August 31, 1929 in Newark, New Jersey where she resided before moving to Hazlet, New Jersey.

Rose was a former Girl Scout Leader in Hazlet, New Jersey.  She organized the first cheerleading squad for the HYAL, and was a member of the Root and Branch Garden Club of Keyport, New Jersey. Rose was also a past member of the St. Joseph’s R.C. Church Rosary Society.

She was predeceased by her parents, Genevieve (Vallely) and James Whelan, her beloved husband, William Mueller, and her son, William Mueller, Jr. Rose is survived by her loving son, Richard Mueller and his wife, Ann of Union Beach, New Jersey, her dear sister, Patricia Ikonen of Washington, D.C., and her cherished grandchildren, Andrew, Amanda, William, Emily and Joseph. Rose will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM and Friday morning July 20, 2018 from 9:15 AM to 10:00 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, 376 Maple Place, Keyport, New Jersey 07735.
