Rose A. Basile

Rose A. Basile, 104, of Keyport, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, July 14, 2019.  Rose was born on April 14, 1915 in Newark, New Jersey where she grew up. She later settled in Keyport, New Jersey in 1979. Rose enjoyed being a member of the Union Beach Senior Club for more than 30 years.  

Rose was predeceased by her parents, Enrico and Virginia (Dattolo) Gallotti, her beloved husband, Salvatore J. Basile and her son, Louis Basile. She is survived by her dear children, Henry Basile of Orefield, Pennsylvania, Geraldine Basile of Keyport, New Jersey, and Robert Basile and his wife, Margaret, of Lyndhurst, New Jersey, her cherished grandchildren, Christine Straubinger, Scott Basile, Karen Ryan, Adrienne Ward-Basile, Jeannine Florre and Jeffrey Basile, and her treasured great-grandchildren, Tyler, Nicholas, Michael, Sean, Alexis, Shannon, Gabriella, and Christopher. Rose will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Thursday morning, from 8:45 AM to 9:30 AM. at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday morning, July 18, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church/ Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, 376 Maple Pl, Keyport, NJ 07735.  Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, New Jersey 07031.
