Pasquale Vicinanza, fondly known as "Pat" among his family and friends, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey. Pat was born on November 12, 1927 in Brooklyn, New York, where he grew up and met his beloved wife, Elvira. On January 26, 1952, Pat and Elvira were married in Brooklyn, where they began their lives together and raised their family. After retiring from the United States Postal Service as a Supervisor at the 34th Street location in Manhattan, they moved to Hazlet, New Jersey and approximately 25 years ago settled in Holmdel. Pat was also a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean Conflict.
He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Pasqualina (DiLorenzo) Vicinanza, his beloved wife, Elvira (Capagrossa) Vicinanza, and his dear brother, Joseph Vicinanza. Pat is survived by his loving children, Frank Vicinanza and his wife, Julie, of Florida, Patricia Sacco and her husband, Al, of Hazlet, New Jersey, Albert Vicinanza and his wife, Laurie, of Brooklyn, New York, Maria D'Alessio and her husband, Sal, of Freehold, New Jersey, and Antoinette Heil of Belford, New Jersey. Pat is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Jeannine Scott and her husband, Doug, Michael Tirado and his wife, Theresia, Brandon Heil, Christopher D'Alessio, and Jason Heil, and his adored great grandchildren, Vincent Tirado, Mason Tirado and Arianna Scott. Pat will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, March 7, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Friday morning, March 8, 2019 from 8:15 to 9:00 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, March 8, 2019 at 9:30 AM at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 727 Highway 36, Union Beach, New Jersey 07735. Entombment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum, 900 Holmdel Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733.
