Norman C. Chadwick Jr., 61, of Middletown, New Jersey, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey. Norman was born on August 6, 1956 in Kearney, New Jersey, where he grew up and he also lived in South Plainfield for a period of time. On June 19, 1994, Norman and his wife, Barbara, were married and began their lives together. They settled in Middletown in 2008. For the last 37 years, Norman worked as a Senior Project Control Engineer for PSEG Company in Newark, New Jersey. He was an avid sports fan, and he currently worked as a Girls Fast Pitch Softball Ball Coach, being a fast pitch softball pitcher himself for 35 years. In addition, Norman had a passion for public speaking. He was the President of the Toast Masters, which is a public speaking organization, and he won many public speaking awards, in addition to becoming the Semi-Finalist in a prestigious public speaking competition. Norman loved cooking and eating all different types of cuisines. He also loved the beach and enjoyed traveling whenever possible.
He was predeceased by his mother, Carol (Lamb) Chadwick. Norman is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 23 years, Barbara (George) Chadwick, his adoring father, Norman C. Chadwick Sr., his loving children, Ryan Chadwick, Jessica Proietto and her husband, Anthony, and Dina Muschinske and her husband, Joseph. Norman is also survived by his dear brother, Bob Chadwick and his wife, Lisa, his cherished granddaughter, Haley Muschinske, and his treasured niece and Goddaughter, Nicole Roslund and her husband, Adam, along with many more special nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday evening, February 13, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home on Tuesday evening during visitation hours. In respect of Norman's wishes, he will be privately cremated.
