Nicholas A. DiBartolomeo, 89, of Keyport, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel, New Jersey. Nicholas was born in Jersey City, where he grew up, before moving to Keyport, New Jersey in 1989. He was a proud Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He retired from Kraft Foods/Ball Glass Company in Carteret, New Jersey. He was an avid Yankee fan, enjoyed reading the Jersey Journal daily, as loved playing the New Jersey lottery.
Nicholas is predeceased by his parents, Filomena (Gatto) and Nicola DiBartolomeo, his beloved wife, Francesca (Massa), and his dear daughter, Margaret Venacio. He is survived by his loving children, Diane E. Medina of Keyport, New Jersey, Nancy O’Neill of Bayonne, New Jersey, and Nicholas DiBartolomeo of Keyport, New Jersey, his dear sister, Diane O’Connor and her husband, Thomas, his cherished grandchildren, Jonathan and Jennifer Medina, Christopher Ryan and Francesca Amorin, and his adored great-grandchildren, Jasmine and Jonathan I. Medina, and Gabriella Jordan. Nicholas will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and Monday morning, December 3, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey, 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday morning, December 3, 2018 at 11:15 AM at Jesus the Lord/Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, 123 Broad Street, Keyport, NJ, 07735. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, New Jersey 07031.
