Neil Murphy

Neil Murphy, 57, of West Keansburg, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday evening, October 14, 2018 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey.  Neil was born on September 13, 1961 in Red Bank, New Jersey and grew up in Hazlet, where he has been a life-long resident.  For several years, he worked as an MRI Technician for Rad Net Company in Union, New Jersey.  In addition to his career, Neil was extremely passionate about theater.  Over the years he was involved in many local productions, as well as many "Murder Mystery" stories at various local theater locations throughout the surrounding communities.  Besides his interest in theater, Neil absolutely loved all things "Disney".  He made sure to make at least one trip to Disney World each year, where he spent almost all of his birthdays.  His favorite time to visit Disney was during the Halloween season, one of his favorite times of the year.  Most importantly, Neil was a beloved son, loving brother and adoring uncle who was greatly loved by all of his family and friends.

He was predeceased by his father, Francis Murphy and his brother, Fran Murphy.  Neil is survived by his beloved mother, Josephine (Comito) Murphy, his dear siblings, Donald Murphy and his wife, LeeAnn, of Hazlet, New Jersey, Glenn Murphy of Ogden, Utah, and Pamela Egnatovich and her husband, Jeffrey, of Allentown, New Jersey, along with his cherished nieces and nephews, Ryan Murphy, Kathryn Murphy, Tyler Duffy, Evan Egnatovich and Jayden Egnatovich.  Neil will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

In respect of Neil's wishes, he will be privately cremated.  Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday morning, October 27, 2018 at 9:15 AM at St. Catharine Roman Catholic Church, 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733.  Interment of Neil's cremated remains will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 100 Chapel Hill Road, Middletown, New Jersey 07701.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
