Mildred M. Laughlin, 93, of Keyport, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, February 26, 2018 at Bayside Manor in Keansburg, New Jersey. Mildred was born on March 13, 1924 in Keyport, New Jersey, where she was raised and lived her entire life. For many years, Mildred worked as the Executive Secretary for Chevron Oil Company, formerly known as California Oil. After leaving Chevron, she worked as the Manager of Bethany Manor in Keyport for 29 years before her retirement. Mildred was also a devout parishioner of St. John's United Methodist Church throughout her life.
She was predeceased by her parents, Hilda Marie (Barnes) and Patrick F. Laughlin, her dear brothers, Frank Laughlin and his wife, Claire, and Harold Laughlin, and her nephew, Glenn Laughlin. Mildred is survived by her loving sister, June Zweiacher and her husband, Norman, of Keyport, her dear sister-in-law, Audrey Laughlin, her cherished nieces and nephews, Sharon, Carol, Robert, David, Craig, Brian, and Greg, and her adored great nieces and nephews, Ryan, Melissa, Matthew, Holly, Kristy, Douglas, Steven, Keri, Kelly and Lee. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Friday morning, March 2, 2018 from 9:45 to 10:30 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Church service will be offered on Friday morning, March 2, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. John's United Methodist Church, 1000 Florence Avenue, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.
