Michael A. Santasieri

Michael A. Santasieri, 67, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday evening, October 13, 2017 at Care One in Holmdel, New Jersey.  Michael was born on May 5, 1950 in Weehawken, New Jersey and was raised in Jersey City.  On December 4, 1982, Michael and his wife, Joanne, were married and began their lives together.  In 1989, they settled in Hazlet, New Jersey.  Before retirement, Michael worked for New Jersey Transit Railroad as a crane operator.  

He was predeceased by his parents, Victor and Rose (Conti) Santasieri, and his brother, Victor Santasieri.  Michael is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 34 years, Joanne (Bozzone) Santasieri, his loving sons, Scott A. Clayton and his wife, Rose, of Keyport, New Jersey, and Robert M. Santasieri of Holmdel, New Jersey, his dear brother, Robert F. Santasieri and his wife, Janet, of Hazlet, New Jersey, and his cherished granddaughter, Lilly Clayton.  Michael is also survived by his special cousin and friend, Joseph Belasco and his wife, Angela, and many treasured nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.  He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, October 16, 2017 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home during visitation hours.  In respect of Michael's wishes, he will be privately cremated.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
