Maureen Barbante, nee Foran, 75, of Lincroft, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2019. She was born on December 19, 1943 in Staten Island, New York. She grew up on Regan Avenue in the West Brighton section of Staten Island. She graduated from Curtis High School. Maureen was retired, previously working as a Controller of Health Care facilities.
On November 10, 1962 Maureen wed Donald Barbante, sharing a marriage for 53 years. Maureen and Donald lived in Brooklyn briefly, and then moved back to Staten Island in 1965, where she raised her three daughters Carolyn, Joan, and Donna. In 2004 Maureen and Donald moved to Lincroft, NJ.
Maureen was a great Mom, sister, aunt, loving grandmother (Gram!), great grandmother and friend. She always went out of her way to be thoughtful and helpful. She had a wonderfully bright smile and had a zest for life. She enjoyed very close relationships with her family and friends.
Maureen enjoyed hobbies such as playing the card game May I, crafts, sewing, baking, ceramics, swimming, reading, and cheering for the Yankees baseball team. She especially loved listening to religious hymns and said The Holy Rosary daily. We are happy that she is now in God’s loving care in Heaven.
Maureen was predeceased by her loving husband, Donald F. Barbante, her parents, Francis and Angela Foran, her sisters, Ann Cosgrove and Joan Zaborowski, and her brothers, Vincent Foran and Robert Foran.
