Mary V Kiely

Mary V. Kiely, 65, of Highlands passed peacefully Friday July 19th in her home of natural causes. Originally born and raised in Hoboken, Mary enjoyed the Mile Square City and birthplace of Frank Sinatra. In 1973 Mary followed her parents to the Jewel by the Sea, Highlands and became an avid beach goer. Mary loved giving back to the community and devoted a 35-year career in Social Service Work where she aided others and positively impacted the lives of thousands. One of Mary’s favorite hobbies was spending quality time with her nieces and nephews. Amongst other things Mary was a devoted practicing Catholic and was the best daughter parents could ask for. As her parents grew older together, Mary became primary care giver for both.

Mary will be dearly missed by all. She was predeceased by her parents, Daniel P. Kiely, Hoboken Police Captain (Retired) and Veronica Theresa (Crimmins) Kiely and dear sister Karen. Mary is survived by her loving siblings Martin, Hoboken Police Lieutenant (Retired) Kevin and her dear nieces and nephews Veronica Kiely, Daniel Kiely, Kiely Lenahan and his wife, Michele, Mary Rita Distaulo and her husband, Joseph, Joshua Lenahan, and Christopher Kiely.

In keeping with Mary’s wishes, she will be privately cremated. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Monday June 22nd at Shore Point Funeral Home located at 3269 State Hwy 35 Hazlet N.J. 07730 from 5pm to 8pm. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday July 23rd at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church located at 141 Navesink Ave Highlands N.J. 07732 at 1pm, held by Father Jarlath William Quinn.
