Marilyn Ann Gallo, 86, of Middletown, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Brighton Gardens in Middletown, New Jersey. She was born Marilyn Ann Stohn on April 2, 1932 in Jersey City, New Jersey where she grew up. On September 9, 1961 Marilyn married her beloved husband, Theodore, and began their lives together in Jersey City. Shortly after in 1962, they settled in North Bergen, New Jersey where they raised their family. In 2005, Marilyn and Theodore retired to Hazlet, New Jersey before recently moving to Middletown about a year ago.
She was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Elizabeth (Haddon) Stohn, her brother, Robert Stohn and her sister, Doris Heppner. Marilyn is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 57 years, Theodore Gallo, her loving children, Lisa M. Gallo and her long- time partner, Brian Smith of Woodridge, New Jersey, Marilyn A. Gallo of Aberdeen, New Jersey, and Nancy Gallo and her husband, Pablo Gonzalez of North Bergen, New Jersey, her cherished grandchildren, Bianca Triggiani, Alexa Garcia Godinez and her husband, Andres, Garrett VanCuren, Blake VanCuren, and Raquel Garcia, along with her adored great-grandchildren, Hunter Bello and Bianca Colao, her dear God-daughter and niece Linda Robinson, and her cherished nieces, Tracey Heppner and Tammy Heppner. She is also survived by many treasured great-nieces and great-nephews, extended family members and friends. Marilyn will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Prayer Service will be offered at the funeral home at approximately 6:00 pm. In respect of Marilyn's wishes, she will be privately cremated.
