Marie Grace Palumbo

Marie Grace Palumbo, 77, of Union Beach, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan, New York.  Marie was born on April 13, 1940 in Newark, New Jersey, where she grew up.  In 1960, she relocated to the Bayshore Area and in 1972, she ultimately settled in Union Beach, New Jersey with her loving wife, Ann Marie. Marie retired from the Monmouth County Corrections System as a Corrections Officer after many years of service.  

She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Susan (Landi) Palumbo and her dear brothers, Junior and Pete Palumbo.  Marie is survived by her beloved and devoted companion and spouse of 45 years, Ann Marie Souza, and her loving siblings, Lena LaPoint of Keyport, New Jersey, and Eugene Palumbo of Keyport, New Jersey, along with many cherished nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.  Marie will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, January 22, 2018 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM and Tuesday morning, January 23, 2018 from 9:45 to 10:30 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home on Monday during the visitation hours.  Entombment will follow Tuesday morning's visitation at Fair View Cemetery, 456 State Highway/Route 35 South, Middletown, New Jersey 07701.  Memorial contributions in loving memory of Marie to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org, would be greatly appreciated.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
