Marie "Dee" (Benardos) DiMella

Marie “Dee” DiMella, 74, of Keyport, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, July 5, 2018 in Morristown, New Jersey. Marie was born on January 5, 1944 in Manhattan, New York. In 1960's, she moved to the Hazlet/Keyport, New Jersey area where she lived the majority of her life.  She worked as an office manager for Springs Industries, New York, New York for many years before retirement.

Marie is predeceased by her parents, Richard and Charlotte (Koenig) Benardos, and her dear siblings, Constance Caturano, George “Buddy” Benardos, and Jeanette Gabba.   Marie is survived by her beloved husband of over 40 years, Carmine DiMella, her loving daughter, Nicole DiMella and her husband Michael Aberback, and her cherished grandchildren, Lillian and Elliott Aberback.  She is also survived by many treasured nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, July 8, 2018 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM and Monday morning July 9, 2018 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home on Monday morning, July 9, 2018 during visiting hours.  Entombment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery Mausoleum 100 Chapel Hill Road, Middletown/Red Bank, New Jersey 07701.
