Margaret B. (Cahill) O'Neill

Margaret B. O'Neill, 78, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey.  She was born Margaret B. Cahill on February 21, 1939 in Tullamore County Offaly, Ireland, where she grew up.  In 1957, she relocated to the United States, starting her life in Bronx, New York.  On February 24, 1962, Margaret and her husband, Michael, were married and began their lives together and in 1970, they settled in Hazlet, New Jersey to raise their family.  Margaret loved to travel and play tennis.  She was also volunteer for Project Paul, as well as Meals on Wheels, and the past President of the Irish Federation of Monmouth County.  In addition, in 1992 Margaret was the Deputy Grand Marshall of the Belmar St. Patrick's Day Parade.

She was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary (O'Brien) Cahill, and her dear son, Brian J. O'Neill.  Margaret is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 55 years, Michael J. O'Neill, her loving children, Michael O'Neill and his wife, Annette, of Middletown, New Jersey, Sean O'Neill and his wife, Imelda, of Hazlet, New Jersey, Kevin O'Neill and his wife, Jody, of Ballston Lake, New York, and Siobhan Fay and her husband, Ron, of Middletown, New Jersey, along with her daughter-in-law, Gina O'Neill, and her cherished grandchildren, Mickaela, Breanna, Cait, Erin, Kate, Aoibhinn, Ryan, Ron, Kiera, Ava, Ashley, and Nicholas.  Margaret will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, January 7, 2018 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and Monday morning, January 8, 2018 from 9:00 to 9:45 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday morning, January 8, 2018 at 10:30 AM at The Church of St. Catherine Laboure, 110 Bray Avenue, N.
