Margaret D'Alessio

Margaret D’Alessio, 78, of Matawan, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2018 at her residence.  She was born Margaret Wynkoop on August 4, 1939 in Ellenville, New York, where she grew up. She attended school in Newark, New Jersey. On April 16, 1959, she married her husband and started their family in Newark.  She then moved to Hillside and then Union, New Jersey before settling in Matawan, (Old Bridge area) in 2005.  She was a Trade Room Receptionist for Prudential in Newark, New Jersey where she worked for many years. She was predeceased by her parents, Homer and Mary (Doyle) Wynkoop, and her beloved husband, Frank D’Alessio. Margaret is survived by her loving children, Frank D’Alessio and his wife, Linda of Metuchen, New Jersey, Lisa Ilaria and her husband, Ralph of Old Bridge, New Jersey, Michael D’Alessio and his wife, Ranae of Middletown, New Jersey and Anthony D’Alessio and his wife, Michelle of Old Bridge, New Jersey, her dear brother, James Wynkoop and his wife, Mary of Arizona, her cherished grandchildren, Krystle Stoecker and her husband Rich, Amanda Ramirez and her husband, Alex, Matthew Ilaria and his fiance, Allison Steen, Marissa Ilaria, Kayla D’Alessio, Shannon D’Alessio, Emily D’Alessio, and Lauren D’Alessio, and her adored great-grandchildren, Brandon and Meadow Stoecker. Margaret will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, May 7, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Tuesday morning, May 8, 2018 from 8:45 to 9:30 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday morning, May 8, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Most Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church, 133 Amboy Road, Matawan, New Jersey 07747.  Entombment will follow at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery Mausoleum, 549 County Road 520, Marlboro, New Jersey 07746.
