Kevin M. Leonard

Kevin M. Leonard, 61, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Bayshore Hospital, Holmdel, New Jersey. Kevin was born on October 27, 1957 in Newark, New Jersey. He grew up in Keansburg, New Jersey before settling in Hazlet, New Jersey in 1980.  Kevin was a retired Detective for the Hazlet Police Department. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Eileen (Reese) Leonard. Kevin is survived by his devoted and cherished wife, Tara (Shields) Leonard, his loving children, Megan Fazzina and her husband, Anthony of Hazlet, New Jersey, Patrick Leonard of Hazlet, New Jersey and Kayleigh Leonard of Hazlet, New Jersey, and his dear brother, Timothy Howard and his wife, Vanessa, and his brothers-in-law, John Shields, Hugh Shields and Francis Shields. Kevin is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews. Kevin  will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, July 7, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and Monday morning, July 8, 2019 from 8:15 AM to 9:00 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday morning, July 8, 2019 at 9:30 AM at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 727 Highway 36, Union Beach, New Jersey 07735.  Interment will be on Monday, July 8, 2019 following mass at Mount Olivet Cemetery,100 Chapel Hill Road, Middletown/Red Bank, New Jersey 07701. For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visits, www.shorepointfh.com.
