Kevin P. Laverty

Kevin P. Laverty, 77, of Port Monmouth, New Jersey, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at home. Kevin was born on March 14, 1942 in Manhattan, New York.  In 1963 he moved to the Bronx before settling in the Bayshore area of New Jersey in 1986.  He was a Tax Accountant for Fiduciary Trust Company International in New York, New York before retirement. Kevin was also a proud honored United States Army Veteran. He was predeceased by his parents, Helen (Dennehy) and John Laverty, his beloved wife, Anna (Santiago) Laverty, and his sister, Rosie Laverty.  Kevin is survived by his devoted and loving children, Deena Castineira and her husband, Frank of Port Monmouth, New Jersey, Theresa Horn and her husband, Paul of Old Town, Florida, and Geri Laverty of St. Petersburg, Florida, his dear siblings, John Laverty and his wife Carol of Danbury, Connecticut, Paddy Laverty and his wife, Debbie of Brick, New Jersey, and his cherished grandson, Liam Bozarth.  Kevin is also survived by his beloved dogs, “Max”, “Rex”, and “Rocco”.  Kevin will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, July 14, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Monday morning, July 15, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered on Sunday afternoon during visiting hours.
