Kathleen A. Giacone

Kathleen A. Giacone, 75, of Brooklyn, New York, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at CareOne at Navesink, Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey.  She was born Kathleen A. DeMelfi on May 3, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York, where she lived her entire life. Kathleen was a retired court clerk for the New York State Civil Courts where she worked for many years before retirement.

Kathleen was predeceased by her parents, Joseph  and Evelyn (Monaco) DeMelfi, and her  beloved husband, John Giacone.  Kathleen is survived by her loving sister Patricia Gencarelli and her husband, Alfred of Hazlet, New Jersey, her dear niece, Danielle Di Carlo and her husband, Andrew of Hazlet, New Jersey, and her nephew Joseph Gencarelli of Hazlet, New Jersey, and her cherished great nieces and nephews, Tyla, Ashley, Aubrey and Andrew DiCarlo. Kathleen will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Monday morning, April 29, 2019 from 9:15 AM to 10:00 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home on Sunday evening, April 28, 2019 at 7:00 PM. Interment will take place on Monday, April 29, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Ocean View Cemetery, 3315 Amboy Road, Staten Island, New York 10306.
