Kathleen M. (Merensky) Buonomo

Kathleen M. Buonomo, 71, of Holmdel, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, New Jersey.  She was born Kathleen Merensky on September 1, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York, where she was raised.  On November 15, 1964, Kathleen and her husband, Alex, were married and began their lives together in Queens, New York, before settling in Staten Island, New York to raise their family.  Approximately 13 years ago, Kathleen relocated to New Jersey and was currently residing with her daughter, Kathy, in Holmdel, New Jersey. 

She was predeceased by her parents, Louis and Marie (Tate) Merensky, her siblings, Louis Merensky, John Merensky, and Marie Merenksy, and her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Joan Merensky, Tom Cronin, and Angelo Buonomo.  Kathleen is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 53 years, Alex Buonomo, her loving children, Kathy Palestra and her husband, Robert, of Holmdel, New Jersey, and Louis Buonomo and his wife, Melanie, of Marlboro, New Jersey, and her dear siblings, Joni Cempa and her husband, Paul, Arlene Cronin, Michael Merensky and his wife, Jackie, and Linda Merensky.  Kathleen is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Olivia Buonomo, Rebecca Buonomo, and Jonathan Palestra, and her adored sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Mildred Buonomo, and Patrick Buonomo and his wife, Gertrude, along with many treasured nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.  Kathleen will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
