Joseph E. Coward

Joseph E. Coward, 80, of Keansburg, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Care One in Holmdel.  Joseph was born on February 3,1939 in Keyport, New Jersey and was raised in Keyport and Cliffwood, New Jersey.  In 1970, Joseph and his wife, Marcella, settled in Keansburg, where they raised their family.  Before retirement, Joseph worked as a Shop Steward and Mixer for ICI Ink Company in Linden, New Jersey for many years.

He was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy (Head) and Ralph K. Coward, his beloved wife, Marcella F. Coward, his dear son, Joseph Coward, his sister, Dorothea Kahlert and his brother, Ralph Coward.  Joseph is survived by his loving daughter, Elizabeth Coward.  He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday evening, January 10, 2020 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Saturday morning, January 11, 2020 from 9:45 to 10:45 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered on Saturday morning during the visitation hour.  Interment will follow at Shoreland Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hazlet, New Jersey.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
