Joselid Cedeno, 82, of Keyport, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Bayshore Hospital, on April 17, 2019. Joselid was born on May 25, 1936 in Puerto Rico. He worked for many years for the U.S. Post Office before retiring in 2005. He was also a proud United States Army Veteran during the Korean War Era and also served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
He was predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Altagrizia (Bermudez) Cedeno, his son, Jose Cedeno, and his brothers Papo and Raul Cedeno. Joselid is survived by his beloved wife, Nilda Cedeno, his loving children, Nina Cedeno Diaz and her husband, John, of Jackson, New Jersey, Mercede Cedeno of North Carolina, and Antonio Ramos and his wife, Carla, his dear sister, Nilda Cedeno and his cherished grandchildren, Antonio J., Joseph, Christian and Ava Ramos. Joselid will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, April 19, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home at approximately 6:45 PM. In respect of Joselid’s wishes he will be privately cremated. Joselid's ashes will be laid to rest at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, New Jersey.
