John P. Frescki, fondly known as "Chip", 71, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday evening, May 14, 2018 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey. Chip was born on April 12, 1947 in Jersey City, New Jersey, where he was raised into his early childhood. At 10 years old, he and his family moved to Clark, New Jersey, where he later met his beloved wife, Rosalie. On September 30, 1972, Chip and Rosalie were married, and a few years later settled in Hazlet, New Jersey to raise their family, where they have resided for the last 41 years. Before retirement, Chip worked for Verizon as a Transmission Testman for 30 years. He was also a proud United States Navy Veteran.
He was predeceased by his parents, John Peter and Genevieve (Spiewack) Frescki and his dear brother, Richard Frescki. Chip is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 45 years, Rosalie T. (Krok) Frescki, his loving sons, John Frescki and his wife, Christina, of Clark, New Jersey, and Chris Frescki and his wife, Jacqueline, of West Keansburg, New Jersey. He is also survived by his dear sisters, Susan Ball and her husband, Greg, Mary Ellen Habbart and her husband, Howard, his adoring sister-in-law, Ann Marie Krok, and his cherished grandson, Gabriel Frescki, along with many special nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Chip will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
In respect of his wishes, Chip will be privately cremated. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday morning, May 19, 2018 at 9:00 AM at The Catholic Church of St. Ann, 311 Carr Avenue, Keansburg, New Jersey 07734. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation following the Mass on Saturday morning, May 19, 2018 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.
