JoAnn L. (Logan) Bryson

    JoAnn L. Bryson, 79, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, New Jersey.  She was born JoAnn Logan on December 10, 1937 in Bayonne, New Jersey, where she grew up.  In 1964, JoAnn settled in Hazlet to raise her family.  While living in Hazlet, JoAnn was very active in her community.  She was a past member of the Hazlet Board of Education, as well as the Board of Health for over 20 years, and was a Girl Scout Troop Leader for Hazlet Township.  She was also a devout communicant of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in Union Beach, where she was the past President and Secretary of their Golden Age Group, a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, and a team member in their RCIA Program.  Before retirement, JoAnn worked for the Monmouth County Park System for 25 years.

    She was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Ethel (Kreiss) Logan, her first husband, William C. Ahlfeld, and her second husband, Richard Bryson.  JoAnn is survived by her loving children, Marianne Bennett of Hazlet, Elizabeth Ahlfeld of Hazlet, and William L. Ahlfeld and his wife, Jennifer, of Manasquan, her beloved sister, Nancy L. Dion of Naples, Florida, and her cherished grandchildren, Brandon Bennett, Will Ahlfeld, and Julia Ahlfeld.  She is also survived by her  dear nephew, Kenneth Dion and his wife, Emma, and her 6 adored step-children, along with their spouses, children, and grandchildren.  JoAnn will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

    Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, June 16, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM, and Saturday morning, June 17, 2017 from 8:30 to 9:15 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday morning, June 17, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 727 Highway 36, Union Beach, New Jersey 07735.  In respect of her wishes, JoAnn will be privately cremated.  In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of JoAnn to Holy Family Roman Catholic Church would be greatly appreciated.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
