James J Doherty

James J Doherty, of Keyport, New Jersey passed away on Friday, November 1st, 2019 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, New Jersey. He was born on May 27th, 1927 in Manhatten, NY. James was a retired telephone repair and install technician for AT&T in New York. He is also a respected veteran of the United States Army, and proudly served in World War II.

James was predeceased his parents, James and Annie Doherty, his sons Brian Doherty and James Doherty, his grandson Nicholas Superior, and his devoted wife of many years Alice Doherty. He is survived by his loving children Carol Doherty of Keansburg, Deborah Burke and her husband Barry of Toms River, Kathleen Superior and her husband George of Keansburg, his grandchildren Brent Burke, Shamus Burke, Jessica Povolo Collier, Thasia Doherty, Brian Doherty II, and Allison Superior, and his 11 great-grandchildren. James is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. He will be lovingly missed, and never forgotten.
